1xBet signs as official sponsor of Barbados Tridents for 2026 CPL season

International betting brand 1xBet has signed a sponsorship agreement with Barbados Tridents ahead of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League season, which runs from 7 August to 20 September 2026. The company has been named an official partner of the Tridents for that tournament.
The Caribbean Premier League is described as one of the world’s most popular cricket competitions, second only to the Indian Premier League. In 2024 the CPL’s total audience across digital and broadcast platforms exceeded one billion for the first time, reaching 1.13 billion, and that figure rose to 1.17 billion in 2025. Those global audience figures are cited by the parties in announcing the new sponsorship.
The league has earned a special place in the hearts of Indian viewers, with multiple players who have featured in both the IPL and the CPL. Examples cited include Faf du Plessis (Saint Lucia Kings/Chennai Super Kings), Chris Gayle (St Kitts and Nevis Patriots/Punjab Kings) and Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders/Mumbai Indians). The announcement also names Sunil Narine (Trinbago Knight Riders/Kolkata Knight Riders) and Romario Shepherd (Guyana Amazon Warriors/Royal Challengers Bengaluru) among familiar names.
Under the terms of the agreement, 1xBet has become an official partner of Barbados Tridents. The brand’s logo will appear on the team’s kit and on advertising hoardings at stadiums during matches. The sponsorship also covers 1xBet exposure on the Tridents’ social media channels and in promotional activities.
Commenting on the deal, a 1xBet representative said: "The Caribbean Premier League continues to set new popularity records, attracting more than one billion viewers worldwide for two consecutive years. We are delighted to become involved in the CPL as a sponsor of one of its strongest teams, as 1xBet’s main mission is to support the development and promotion of sport worldwide."
The announcement includes a profile of 1xBet, noting the company has 19 years of experience in the betting and gambling industry. The brand’s customers place bets on thousands of sporting events and play popular games from the best providers in online casinos, and the company’s website and application are available in 73 languages. The list of 1xBet’s official partners cited in the release includes Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, the Italian Serie A, FIBA, Volleyball World, CAF and Billie Jean King Cup, and the statement adds the platform is visited by more than 10 million players monthly and has been a nominee and winner of professional awards.
Barbados Tridents were founded in 2013 specifically to compete in the Caribbean Premier League and have taken part in all thirteen editions of the competition. The team are part of Royals Sports Group, which also includes Rajasthan Royals of the IPL, Paarl Royals of SA20 and other sporting ventures. Barbados Tridents have won the CPL twice, in 2014 and 2019, and finished as runners-up in 2015 and 2022; their current squad includes captain Rovman Powell, wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock and opening batter Brandon King. "Our team have won the CPL twice, and last season we fell just short of the final. With the support of our new sponsor, 1xBet, we hope to improve on last year’s result and claim the title for a third time," said a Barbados Tridents representative.
