Abishek Porel recalled to Bengal squad days after bail in sexual offence case

Abishek Porel was named in Bengal's senior men's squad days after being granted bail in a sexual offence case, ahead of the 2026 Ranji Trophy season.

The bail follows serious allegations that include rape and threats; Porel was arrested on August 11 after a medical student filed a complaint about their relationship.

Porel, who plays for Delhi Capitals, has not made an appearance since IPL 2026.
