AC Milan beat Atalanta 3-2 at the San Siro in their seventh matchweek Serie A fixture of the 2026-27 season, securing three points after building an early advantage.

Milan, managed by Ruben Amorim, imposed themselves from the start by keeping Atalanta largely quiet and sustaining pressure in attack; the Rossoneri scored twice before half-time and added a third after the break. Atalanta, coached by Maurizio Sarri, were unable to contain Milan’s forward play, struggled defensively and did not show the necessary urgency in the final third.

The hosts opened and extended their lead in the first half, with Adrien Rabiot netting in the 43rd minute to double Milan’s advantage; a third goal arrived in the second half that put Milan three ahead. La Dea conceded two goals early in the game and found themselves three down after the visitors’ second-half strike.

Milan’s midfield trio — Adrien Rabiot, Luka Modric and Yunus Musah — were credited with breaking up Atalanta’s plays and creating chances, with Rabiot not only scoring the 43rd-minute goal but also providing a crucial second-half assist. Rabiot was named Player of the Match for his contributions.

Atalanta staged a late recovery, with Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstović each scoring to reduce the deficit, a comeback that exposed Milan’s difficulties in protecting a comfortable lead. Despite the visitors’ rally, Milan defenders Strahinja Pavlović, Koni De Winter, Mario Gila and Fikayo Tomori helped see out the final six minutes to preserve the victory.

Goncalo Ramos, Adrien Rabiot and Mario Gila were Milan’s goal scorers in the 3-2 win, while Gaetano and Krstović scored for Atalanta. The result leaves Milan sitting fourth in the Serie A table, and the Rossoneri will aim to push for the league title while Atalanta must address defensive shortcomings highlighted by this defeat.
