Activision has revealed the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 roadmap for Modern Warfare 4, detailing content scheduled to arrive on November 6, 2026, including new maps, modes, perks and the game's debut on Nintendo Switch 2. The company described the release as a large content update that also introduces gameplay improvements and a new progression system.

Season 1's marquee additions are two new maps and the return of legacy locations later in the season. Hajin will join the Battle Royale playlist and is said to feature dynamic weather, interactive environments and a dedicated Gulag, while Zodiac is a new Resurgence map designed as a compact battlefield for faster combat; Verdansk and Rebirth Island are confirmed to return at points during Season 1.

Several core gameplay adjustments are part of the update: tactical sprint will be available to every player without requiring a specific perk, though its overall duration has been reduced for balance, and a new mechanic allows players to drag downed teammates to revive them. The Season 1 roadmap also adds an Operator Skin Toggle so players can select which Operator skins are used in matches.

New playlist options will arrive with Season 1, including Rally Point, Massive Resurgence and Loaded Resurgence, each presented as distinct gameplay experiences within Warzone. The roadmap positions these modes alongside the two new maps and returning locations to diversify match types across the season.

A new progression track called Grind for Royalty will let players set personalized seasonal challenges tied to their performance, with rewards that include exclusive weapon camos such as Gold Excellence and Gold Mosaic for completing objectives. The system is presented as a route to seasonal cosmetic unlocks linked to player-created goals.

Additional content for Multiplayer and DMZ in Modern Warfare 4 includes 18 new Perks and Elite Perks, Weapon Augments, the Zipline Launcher and a Grabber Drone, plus new Field Upgrades and Killstreaks. Activision has framed these items as part of a broad expansion of equipment and ability options across modes.

Warzone Season 1 launches on November 6, 2026, and the update will be available across all supported platforms, with Hajin added to Battle Royale and Zodiac to Resurgence at launch and Verdansk and Rebirth Island returning later in the season.
