Ahvar Rizvi makes India’s Asian Games trap team in Nagoya after missing 2018 selection

Ahvar Rizvi has been named to India’s shooting team for the Trap event at the Asian Games in Nagoya, the Times of India reported on September 27, 2026.

He was one point short of selection for India’s 2018 Asian Games.

After Double Trap was removed from the international programme, Rizvi spent seven years rebuilding his career; the 2018 junior world champion struggled with the transition, briefly quit shooting and later competed with teammate Lakshya Sheoran’s gun.
