Aion 2 to launch globally on October 5, 2026 for PC

Aion 2, a free-to-play MMORPG, will receive its global release on October 5, 2026 as a PC-exclusive title. The announcement follows pre-launch access phases that have already put the game in player hands ahead of the official launch.

The title has seen commercial success prior to the global release, performing strongly in South Korea and Taiwan and climbing to #1 on Steam’s Global Top Sellers despite not having officially launched. Early access for the global version began on September 30, 2026, allowing players to start exploring the game ahead of the full release.

On the publish date of this report the game entered Advanced Access for Founder’s Pack owners; the Founder’s Packs are listed at $24.99 on Steam. During that Advanced Access period Aion 2 reached 171,530 concurrent players on Steam.

Founder’s Packs are available for purchase on Steam and grant early access alongside bundled in-game rewards and cosmetics. Players can secure early access by purchasing any of the available Founder’s Packs on Steam before October 4.

The base game will remain free-to-play at launch, with optional Founder’s Packs and premium content offered alongside it. Developers have outlined plans for ongoing live-service support and have revealed intentions for an optional premium subscription plus future Twitch Drops, promotional codes, login rewards, and community events.

The developers describe the game as featuring a large fantasy world with extensive character build and customization options, elements that have driven pre-launch interest among players. That pre-launch interest and the Steam ranking have contributed to strong early engagement ahead of the global date.

The global version will officially release on October 5, 2026 for PC players; those seeking early access must purchase a Founder’s Pack on Steam before October 4. Players should note there may be maintenance or server changes on the day of launch if traffic is greater than expected.
