Al Nassr v Neftchi Fergana: Pre-match updates for AFC Champions League Elite second-round clash

Al Nassr will host Neftchi Fergana at Al-Awwal Park in a second-round AFC Champions League Elite 2026-27 Western Region fixture on Monday, October 12, 2026. The Saudi side, still seeking their first continental victory, will attempt to use home advantage to secure three points.

Al Nassr arrive off a 3-0 Saudi Pro League win over Diriyah, a response to a 4-1 thrashing by Al Ain in the Champions League. The Knights of Najd sit third in the Saudi Pro League with 19 points but remain without a win in the continental tournament and occupy the bottom position of the Western Region table.

Neftchi Fergana have gone four matches unbeaten, claiming three wins in that run, though they were held to a 2-2 draw by Xorazm in their most recent Uzbekistan Super League outing. The visitors began their ACL campaign with a 1-0 victory over Al Quwa Al Jawiya, giving them a perfect record in the competition so far.

Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, scored in Al Nassr’s 3-0 win against Diriyah, marking his fourth goal this season, and will look to keep this run going tonight while partnering Joao Felix up front. The Portuguese veteran is the primary attacking focal point for the home side in a match they need for continental momentum.

After a spell with Metz, Koffi Kouao joined Neftchi Fergana in the summer and has been one of the Uzbek side’s standout performers. The Ivorian full-back assisted the winner in the ACL match against Al Quwa Al Jawiya and is expected to play a key role in attempting to break down Al Nassr’s defence.

A victory for Al Nassr would deliver their first continental win and lift them off the bottom of the Western Region table, while Neftchi head into the match unbeaten and looking to build on their opening ACL success.
