Carlos Alcaraz beat Alex de Minaur 6-1, 6-4 to win the Vienna Open in Vienna, Austria on November 1, 2026, completing the tournament without dropping a set. The victory was Alcaraz's seventh straight win over de Minaur in as many meetings.

The second-seeded Spaniard is a seven-time Grand Slam winner; the Vienna Open triumph was his fourth title of the year, a haul that includes the Australian Open which completed a career Grand Slam, and it was the 28th title of his career. De Minaur entered the final as the fifth seed and had been seeking his second title of the year. He advanced to the championship match after a semifinal victory over Alexander Zverev, while Alcaraz reached the final by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the other semi.

Alcaraz sealed the match with a decisive sequence that began with a sliced backhand drop shot that drew de Minaur to the net, followed by a backhand lob and, after the Australian volleyed the lob back near the net, a clipped cross-court forehand that landed just in. He closed out the final 6-1, 6-4. The Spaniard reacted with a broad smile on clinching the title.

Alcaraz has beaten de Minaur on grass and clay as well as on indoor and outdoor hard courts, extending a perfect head-to-head across multiple surfaces. The Vienna Open is an ATP 500 event.

Alexander Zverev will top the rankings on Monday (November 2, 2026), according to the tournament report.
