Alcaraz faces Medvedev in Vienna Open semi-final at Wiener Stadthalle on October 31

Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev meet in the semi-finals of the ATP Vienna Open 2026 at the Centre Court of the Wiener Stadthalle on October 31 (Saturday). The winner will secure a place in the tournament’s championship match.
The second-seeded Alcaraz reached the last four in Vienna without dropping a set, beating Karen Khachanov, Nikoloz Basilashvili and Tommy Paul in straight sets to advance. His performance through the earlier rounds positioned him as one of the favourites entering the semi-final.
Third-seeded Russian Daniil Medvedev arrived in Vienna on the back of his Almaty Open title and has extended his winning run to seven consecutive matches. He reached the Vienna semi-finals with victories over Daniel Merida Aguilar, Cameron Norrie and Adrian Mannarino, and his form since US Open 2026 along with deep runs in the Asian swing have secured his qualification for the ATP Finals.
The pair have met nine times on the ATP Tour, with Alcaraz leading their head-to-head 6-3. Four of Alcaraz’s six wins have come in the last four meetings between them, while Medvedev won their most recent encounter at Indian Wells earlier this season.
The semi-final is scheduled to start at 3 pm local time (7:30 pm IST) on Centre Court, played on the indoor hard courts of Wiener Stadthalle. The match timing and indoor hard-court conditions set the parameters for both players’ preparations.
Indian viewers can watch the match live on FanCode, with the Tennis Channel also carrying the semi-final. UK coverage will be available on Sky Sports with streaming via NOW, while US viewers can see the clash on ESPN and the Tennis Channel, with streaming through ESPN+ and Fubo.
The winner of this semi-final will advance to the Vienna Open championship match, securing a place in the final.
