Alex Lanier becomes first French singles world champion as France take mixed doubles gold; An Se-young wins women's singles

Alex Lanier became the first French singles player to win the World Championship title at the BWF World Championships on Sunday.

He defeated Kodai Naraoka.

French pair Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue won gold in mixed doubles.

An Se-young won the women's singles, completing a historic clean sweep of premier titles.
