Amit Bhatia-led consortium to acquire 30% stake in Liverpool FC for around £1.7bn

A consortium led by British-Indian entrepreneur Amit Bhatia is set to acquire a 30% stake in Liverpool FC, the Times of India reported on August 16, 2026.
The investment is estimated at around one point seven billion pounds sterling.
Current owners Fenway Sports Group will retain their majority stake and operational oversight, while the consortium includes contributions from the Mittal Family Trusts, K5 Sports and Eduardo Saverin's family office.
