Anahat Singh climbs three places to World No. 17 in latest PSA rankings

India’s Anahat Singh climbed three places to World No. 17 in the latest PSA World Rankings published on September 15, 2026. The 18-year-old’s rise follows a sustained run of strong results on the junior circuit and the PSA Squash Tour.

Singh became the first Indian to win the World Junior Squash Championships, defeating Egypt’s Ruqayya Salem in the final, and that victory capped a year in which she recorded multiple podium finishes internationally. She has also collected medals across continental and team events throughout her junior and senior career.

At the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou, Singh was part of the women’s team that won bronze and she also secured a bronze in the mixed doubles event. She added two bronze medals at the Women’s Asian Squash Team Championships in 2022 and 2023.

In 2025 Singh took gold in both the women’s and mixed doubles at the Asian Doubles Squash Championships. She was a member of the Indian squad that won gold at the Squash World Cup 2025 in Chennai.

Her record in junior team events includes a gold and a bronze at the Asian Junior Team Squash Championships, supplementing two earlier golds and two earlier bronzes at that tournament. On the junior tour she reached the British Junior Open final, where she lost to Lauren Baltayan, and advanced to the second round of the Tournament of Champions.

On the PSA Tour, Singh claimed her first bronze-level title at the Squash on Fire Open and successfully defended her Indian Open crown. Those results contributed to her climb of three places to World No. 17 in the latest PSA rankings.

As the highest-ranked Indian women’s squash player, Singh has been named to lead India’s squash contingent at the upcoming Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
