Ancelotti warns Ryan Williams "could be dangerous" ahead of India friendly in Kolkata

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti said Ryan Williams "could be dangerous for us" on the eve of Saturday's India v Brazil international friendly at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, and confirmed his side had studied India’s recent 1-1 draw against Panama.
Ancelotti opened his media engagement in Kolkata with a "Namaste" and expressed gratitude for the reception the squad has received in India. "It was an honour for us to be here with the national team. We know how this region loves the national team, loves football, and we are happy to be here to play against India and to show the quality that our players have," Carlo said.
Ancelotti detailed Brazil's preparation, saying: "We saw the last game that they played against Panama, when they drew. It’s a good team, well organised; they are fast in front, they have a good striker, (Ryan) Williams, who could be dangerous for us." His remarks outlined the areas Brazil have examined in the Blue Tigers' play.
Brazil captain Marquinhos stressed the team's competitive focus ahead of the fixture, saying: "The most important way to really connect with the fan is to have a good performance inside the pitch, to play great games, achieve great victories, great performances." He added that the affection shown by Indian supporters gives the squad "energy, connection and motivation" as they aim to improve and compete for major honours.
Organisers described the match as part of the historic FIFA Men’s International friendly series, with the Principal Partner Style Bazaar powered by Amul. "And we shall build upon our football association we had with the top two teams in the world- Spain and Argentina during the recent FIFA World Cup 2026." The event also lists Bharat Taxi as the official mobility partner and encourages followers to seek updates via Khel Now's social and app platforms.
Brazil arrive in Kolkata preparing for another step in their new cycle while India will test themselves against one of international football’s most celebrated teams; the international friendly takes place on Saturday at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
