Anish Bhanwala finished seventh in the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol final at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 on October 1, 2026, ending his campaign in that event after three series of the medal round. He had reached the eight-shooter final after placing ninth in qualification with a total of 576-17x.

Bhanwala recorded 290-11x in Stage 1 and 286 in Stage 2 to register the 576-17x qualification score. Although he stood outside the initial top eight, he advanced to the final because the two-per-country rule was applied when three South Korean shooters occupied places inside the top eight.

Entering the final, Bhanwala faced South Korea’s Gun-hyeok Lee and Seo-yeong Yoon, China’s Lianbofan Su, Indonesia’s Dewa Putu Yadi Suteja, Vietnam’s Quang Huy Pham, Kazakhstan’s Nikita Chiryukin, and Pakistan’s Ghulam Mustafa Bashir.

In the medal round, Bhanwala began with three hits in the opening series and added four hits in the second series to move to seven hits.

He then produced another four hits in the opening series of Stage 2, taking his total to 11 hits and leaving him level on hits with three other competitors.

With the shooters tied on 11 hits, qualification rankings were used as the tie-breaker; Bhanwala had the lowest qualification ranking among those tied and was eliminated, finishing seventh overall.

Bhanwala’s result ended his individual 25m Rapid Fire Pistol campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and also concluded India’s shooting campaign at the 2026 Asian Games, with India winning a total of 15 medals across various categories.
