Anshuman Hooda tops DPL 2026 wicket list as tournament enters playoffs

Anshuman Hooda leads the wicket-taking charts in the Delhi Premier League 2026 with 20 wickets from eight matches as the competition has entered its playoff phase and runs until 30th August.

The DPL 2026 has featured 44 T20 matches and combined domestic talent with several well-known players from the Indian capital, with bowlers playing a decisive role across the campaign; the race for the leading wicket-taker has been closely contested and several Delhi cricketers have shown consistent form.

Playing for South Delhi Superstarz, Anshuman Hooda has accumulated 20 wickets in eight matches and is currently averaging 14.85 in the tournament.

Garvish Khurana has claimed 18 wickets from ten matches for Central Delhi Kings and has been described as a consistent wicket-taker whose returns have helped the Kings finish in a better position on the DPL points table.

Harsh Tyagi, representing Outer Delhi Warriors, has taken 16 wickets across nine appearances this season, and his consistency has been noted as a factor in his growing importance to his side.

Ashish Meena begins the top-five list with 14 wickets from eight matches; he has bowled 31 overs in the ongoing season and has played, including in the knockout stage, for East Delhi Riders.

In 11 matches for Central Delhi Kings, Grewal has matched Khurana’s tally of 16 wickets while bowling relatively more overs; his best figures remain 3/22 and his workload has been significant.

Simarjeet Singh holds the record for the most wickets in Delhi Premier League history with 38 wickets, and South Delhi Superstarz secured a place in the DPL 2026 final after winning the first qualifier.
