Arc System Works unveils Year 1 DLC roster for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Arc System Works on October 12, 2026, posted on its social media accounts that it will expand the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls roster and revealed the full Year 1 DLC character lineup. The company named Phoenix Cyclops, Thor (Jane Foster), Venom and Jubilee as the four Year 1 additions.

ARC SYSTEM WORKS accompanied the announcement with character artwork created by Marvel artist Peach Momoko and a social media tease that referenced a collaboration with @peachmomoko60. The publisher released the lineup publicly on its social channels and used the artwork to preview the new fighters.

In an official PlayStation Blog post, producer Takeshi Yamanaka discussed the decision to include Cyclops, saying Cyclops is always considered an important character in the X-Men lineup. Yamanaka said introducing Phoenix Cyclops allowed them to present a distinct version of the character with a different combat playstyle, and described his kit as including Dark Phoenix-inspired gameplay elements alongside his signature Optic Blasts.

A new trailer for Jane Foster’s Thor shows her wielding Thor’s hammer while facing criticism from the God of Mischief, Loki, and the studio has kept her gameplay details under wraps. The announcement confirms Jane Foster’s Thor will be added in winter 2027.

Arc System Works disclosed timing for the other Year 1 fighters: Phoenix Cyclops will be added as the first DLC fighter on November 2, 2026, Venom will arrive in spring 2027, and Jubilee is scheduled for summer 2027.
