AS Roma v Real Madrid: Champions League preview, kick-off time and broadcast details
AS Roma will host Real Madrid at Stadio Olimpico in Rome in a UEFA Champions League fixture that kicks off at 12:30 AM IST on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The match pairs the 15-time champions against Roma in a Group-stage meeting at the Stadio Olimpico.
Real Madrid are identified in the report as 15-time champions. Madrid manager Jose Mourinho will face one of his former clubs for the second time this season, having overseen a recent reunion with Inter last month. Mourinho led Roma from 2021 until 2024; during that period the club struggled in Serie A, won the first UEFA Conference League and advanced to the Europa League final.
Real Madrid began their Champions League campaign, scoring the most points at home but being far from impressive on matchday one. Thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Federico Valverde, the Spanish powerhouses defeated Inter Milan. The match report adds that Madrid suffered without the ball, gave up many opportunities, and profited from two obvious mistakes.
Mourinho鈥檚 upcoming meeting with Roma is described as another reunion following his recent match against Inter. The article reiterates Mourinho鈥檚 tenure at Roma from 2021 until 2024 and notes the club鈥檚 mixed domestic and European outcomes during that span. The source frames Roma鈥檚 period under Mourinho as one of domestic struggle alongside notable European progression.
