Ashish finishes second in men's javelin at Junior World Championships after training in dry ponds

Ashish secured the second spot in the men's javelin final at the Junior World Championships, according to a Times of India report published on 2026-08-08T11:08:44.0000000Z.
The report said he trained in dry ponds using a wooden javelin.
His best effort was 74.09 metres, recorded on his third attempt, which earned India a podium finish at the global junior event.
It was India's first javelin medal at the Junior World Championships since Neeraj Chopra's 86.48m showing in 2016.
