Ravichandran Ashwin said Shai Hope served "a goat on a platter" by keeping Akeal Hosein bowling during the PowerPlay in India's match against the West Indies, in a report published on 2026-10-11.
Sanju Samson capitalised on the decision, scoring 82 off 41 balls.
Despite India's strong batting performance, the West Indies successfully chased 249. Shai Hope remained unbeaten with a century that levelled the series at 1-1. The report said upcoming matches could continue to highlight the ongoing challenges faced by bowlers.
