Ravichandran Ashwin said he stopped talking to Sanjay Manjrekar after the initial sting of Manjrekar’s critical comments.
He said that criticism fuelled his desire to elevate his fitness and refine his bowling.
Manjrekar later praised Ashwin in an article, acknowledging his remarkable performances, and the piece noted Ashwin finished with 765 international wickets as India’s second-highest international wicket-taker while being described as one of the country’s finest all-rounders still active in T20 leagues.
