Asian Games 2026 closing ceremony in Nagoya set for Sunday, October 4

The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games will conclude with a closing ceremony in Nagoya on Sunday, October 4, with athletes and officials assembling for the final celebrations; the event is scheduled to begin at 6pm local time.
The Games have featured 16 days of competition across Japan and the closing ceremony will serve as the official finale. For viewers in India, broadcast coverage is scheduled to begin from 2:30 PM (IST) onwards.

India’s women’s flag-bearer for the closing ceremony has been confirmed as Neeru Dhanda. Dhanda won two gold medals and a silver during the Games.
Dhanda had returned to India after winning her third medal, a gold in the trap mixed team event with Kynan Chenai. She is scheduled to travel back to Nagoya on Saturday morning to lead the Indian contingent at the closing ceremony.
The men’s flag-bearer for India has not yet been announced, with the Indian contingent expected to confirm the name ahead of Sunday’s ceremony.
The closing ceremony on Sunday, October 4, will mark the end of the 16-day Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and conclude the event schedule across Japan.
