Asian Games 2026: India’s schedule for Day 12 (October 1)

India's contingent will be in action across multiple sports on Day 12 (October 1) of the Asian Games 2026, with the tournament entering its final three days and a packed programme for the country on Thursday.

India recorded its most productive day so far on Wednesday, winning four gold medals on Day 11. Three of those golds came in archery — the women’s team compound, mixed team compound and men’s team compound events — while shooting produced a gold when Kynan Chenai and Neeru Dhanda won the mixed trap team title. India also added two bronze medals in boxing, with Priya Ghanghas taking bronze in the women’s 60kg and Kapil Pokhariya securing bronze in the men’s 90kg, leaving the team seventh on the medal table with 59 medals — 10 gold, 21 silver and 28 bronze.

On Day 12, archery, canoe slalom, track cycling, sport climbing, squash and wrestling are listed as the disciplines most likely to present medal opportunities for India.

The Indian contingent will also compete in several non-medal and team events on Thursday, including men’s cricket, golf, men’s hockey, rugby sevens and sepak takraw.
