Asian Games 2026: Manu Bhaker fifth in women's 10m air pistol; India miss team medal

Manu Bhaker finished fifth in the women's 10m air pistol final at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya on September 23, 2026. The Indian women's team did not secure a medal in the event.

Bhaker qualified third for the final with a total of 579. She scored 181.1 in the final to place fifth. The 24-year-old won the individual bronze in this event at the Paris Olympics and also took a mixed team bronze there.

Esha Singh posted 572 in qualification and ended 15th, missing a spot in the final. Suruchi Singh recorded 568 and finished 26th in the qualification round.

India were tied with Vietnam on a combined team total of 1719 but finished fourth because of a lower inner 10s count, thereby missing the team bronze. The team result left India without a medal in the women's 10m air pistol competition.

India have so far collected seven shooting medals at the Games — four silver and three bronze — with no gold among them.

Bhaker will next compete in the 25m pistol event, where she is the defending champion.
