Australia’s full schedule for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 has been published, with the tournament to be staged in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from October 2 to November 21, 2027. The fixtures confirm Australia’s involvement in the 14th edition of the men's World Cup held across the three co-host countries.
The 2027 tournament will feature 14 teams. India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh are the eight teams that have qualified for the event on the basis of rankings. South Africa and Zimbabwe have booked the co-host spots while the third host, Namibia, will have to go through the qualifiers round. Australia enter 2027 as the reigning champions after winning the previous edition under the captaincy of Pat Cummins, beating India in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium, and will be aiming for a seventh title.
Australia have been drawn into Group A of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 alongside India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and the Qualifier A team. They will play one game against each of those five opponents during the group stage, for a total of five group matches.
After the opener, Australia’s remaining group fixtures are scheduled as follows: the match against the team that finishes top of the qualifier round on October 12, Zimbabwe on October 15 and Afghanistan on October 18, with the final group match against Pakistan on October 22.
Australia’s group-stage matches will be played across four venues, with two fixtures in Paarl and one match each in Cape Town, Harare and East London.
Australia will start their campaign with a game against India on October 7. If they finish the group in the top three they will progress to the Super 7 round, and must finish in the top four of that Super 7 to reach the semifinals.
