AZ Alkmaar to host Juventus at AFAS Stadion in Matchday 4 of 2026-27 Europa League

AZ Alkmaar host Juventus at the AFAS Stadion on Thursday, November 5, in a Matchday 4 fixture of the 2026-27 UEFA Europa League league phase. Both clubs enter the game with strong early-season European form and an opportunity to improve their positions in the group standings.

Juventus have collected seven points from their opening three Europa League matches, recording two wins and a draw, while AZ Alkmaar have also started the competition positively. The tie pairs a side with a strong home European record against a Juventus team noted in the preview for its scoring form so far this season.

Daal is highlighted among AZ’s attacking options; the preview notes his movement from the left flank as a potential way to create chances against Juventus’ defence. That tactical detail is presented as a key avenue for AZ to generate opportunities in the final third.

Woltemade is singled out among Juventus’ contributors this Europa League campaign, with the report emphasising his ability to operate in the penalty area and link up with the attack. The piece also states he brings a goal threat in the box because of his height and ability to outmuscle defenders in aerial duels.

These two clubs will meet for the first time in European competition. The preview adds that AZ are unbeaten in their last 17 home matches in European competitions, recording 14 wins and three draws, while Juventus are unbeaten in their three Europa League matches against Dutch opposition, winning twice and drawing once.

Statistically, Juventus have scored nine goals in their opening three Europa League matches of this season. The report also records AZ’s opening competition results as two wins and one loss from their first three Europa League fixtures.

As a Matchday 4 tie in the 2026-27 UEFA Europa League league phase, the result will affect both clubs’ positions in the group standings and offer either side a chance to strengthen its campaign in the competition.
