The Ballon d’Or 2026 ceremony, organised by France Football in partnership with UEFA, will take place at the London Palladium Theatre in London on Monday, October 26. Spanish journalist Víctor Navarro published the scheduled presentation times for the event’s two primary individual awards.
The 2026 ceremony is the 70th edition of the Ballon d’Or and will be the first time the event is held outside Paris; the programme will include a tribute to Sir Stanley Matthews, the inaugural Ballon d’Or winner. Organisers have listed 13 distinct awards across men’s and women’s football, covering categories such as best young players, best goalkeepers, top goalscorers and best coaches, with the overall best player award presented separately for male and female players.
Eligibility periods for the main awards are defined differently for men and women: the men’s awards will consider performances between August 3, 2025, and July 19, 2026, the date of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final; the women’s awards will cover performances from August 3, 2025, to August 16, 2026, the date of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final. Voting bodies are also specified: the men’s jury comprises one journalist from each of the top 100 countries in the FIFA men’s world rankings, while the women’s jury comprises one journalist from each of the top 50 countries.
Víctor Navarro posted the following timings: "🏆A las 22:38h se entrega el Balón de Oro femenino🏆A las 22:43h se entrega el Balón de Oro masculino".
