Barcelona sign Spain captain Rodri from Manchester City

Barcelona have officially signed Spain captain Rodri from Manchester City in a transfer announced on 18 August 2026.
He has signed a contract keeping him at the club until 2030. Rodri arrives after playing a central role in Spain's World Cup triumph and winning the Ballon d'Or.
The move strengthens Barcelona's squad for their third consecutive La Liga title push. Real Madrid had also reportedly shown interest in the midfielder.
