Barcelona v Alaves preview, injuries and lineups — LaLiga matchweek 11

FC Barcelona will host Deportivo Alavés at the Spotify Camp Nou on October 31 in their LaLiga 2026-27 matchweek 11 fixture. Barcelona enter the game after a 1-2 loss to Real Madrid in the recent El Clásico.
Despite controlling the majority of possession in that El Clásico, Barcelona failed to defend well and have suffered consecutive defeats in their last two matches; they remain at the top of the Spanish top division points table and will aim to extend their lead. Deportivo Alavés drew 1-1 with CF Malaga, have failed to secure a win in their last five LaLiga matches and were trailing before a late equaliser earned them a point. Quique Sánchez Flores is in charge at Alavés, and being away from home will make things challenging for the visitors.
Raphinha might miss out for FC Barcelona, which places extra responsibility on Lamine Yamal; the 19-year-old underperformed against Real Madrid and has scored eight goals in 10 LaLiga appearances this season. Barcelona will expect Yamal to contribute more on the flank if Raphinha is unavailable.
Aitor Mañas, the 23-year-old, scored the late equaliser for Deportivo Alavés against Malaga and will be once again deployed as the second striker. The club’s plan is to use Mañas to trouble Barcelona’s defence in the attacking third.
FC Barcelona will be without Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, Xavi Espart, Dani Olmo and Roony Bardghji due to injury; the availability of Raphinha and Jules Kounde is not confirmed because of fitness issues. Deportivo Alavés will miss Mikel Rodriguez and Facundo Garces through injury.
Probable lineups listed in the source are: Joan Garcia (GK); Cancelo, Cubarsi, Martin, Balde; Rodri, Pedri; Yamal, Lopez, Gordon; Jesus Sivera (GK); Perez, Tenaglia, Koski, Valentini, Rebbach; Ibanez, Blanco, Alena; Manas, Diaz. With a stronger squad quality and the home ground advantage, Barcelona will be pushing to get back to winning ways. The Blaugrana are likely to come out on top and secure three points.
The clash takes place at the Spotify Camp Nou on October 31 and will be shown in Spain on Movistar, DAZN and Teledeporte and in the USA on ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes. Fans can watch all LaLiga matches live on the FanCode app and website.
