Barcelona vs Real Madrid: confirmed lineups and pre-match updates for LaLiga 2026-27 clash

Barcelona and Real Madrid meet in a LaLiga 2026-27 clash on October 25, 2026, with confirmed starting lineups and pre-match updates released ahead of the fixture. The encounter arrives with both clubs carrying strong domestic form into the weekend.

Barcelona enter the match having won all nine of their league games prior to this fixture, while Real Madrid have recorded seven wins from nine and remain within reach of the leaders. Both sides also come into the weekend after midweek European fixtures.

In Europe this week Barcelona were beaten 4-2 away by Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid recorded a 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig. Those results completed contrasting midweek programmes for the clubs and feed directly into selection and preparation.

Barcelona’s attack has been led by Raphinha, who has scored 12 league goals, and Lamine Yamal has provided an additional creative threat from the right flank. Yamal has registered 14 goal contributions in nine league appearances, averaging more than one goal contribution per match, and he scored and assisted in Barcelona’s 5-2 win over Real Betis on October 17; his ability to beat defenders and deliver passes into the penalty area is noted in the pre-match coverage.

Barcelona will have to manage defensive absences following that midweek result, according to the pre-match updates, after conceding four goals against PSG. Those absences are expected to influence the manager’s approach to selection and defensive organisation.

Real Madrid’s forward line is expected to rely heavily on Kylian Mbappé, who has scored nine league goals, with Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler also named as key attacking options in the pre-match material. Vinícius Júnior’s suspension removes a major option from Madrid’s forward choices, and Bellingham has contributed six goal involvements in nine league appearances and provided an assist in Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Sevilla on October 18.

Barcelona will aim to preserve their perfect league record, while Los Blancos seek to close the gap at the top of LaLiga. For more updates, follow Khel Now on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; download the Khel Now Android App or IOS App and join our community on Telegram.
