Bayern recover to draw 2-2 after conceding fastest goal in Bundesliga history

Augsburg’s Robin Fellhauer scored after eight seconds against Bayern Munich on Saturday in a Bundesliga match, setting a new league record, and Bayern twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw.
The eight-second strike beat the previous record held jointly by Kevin Volland and Karim Bellarabi by one second after Fellhauer benefited from a blunder by Bayern’s Manuel Neuer as the keeper tried to clear. Bayern, whose only league defeat in their past 48 matches was by Augsburg in January, improved after the break and Ismael Saibari scored an equaliser.
A second Neuer error in the 64th minute handed Augsburg the lead again when the 40-year-old goalkeeper punched Calvin Brackelmann’s shot into the path of Rodrigo Ribeiro, who pushed the ball over the line. Bayern had been pegged back earlier by Fellhauer’s record opener and then responded later in the match.
Harry Kane, who hit the woodwork in the first half, assisted the late leveller when he cut the ball back for Nathaniel Brown to tap in 10 minutes from time. Saibari’s strike had earlier restored parity after Bayern’s improved display following the interval.
Bayer Leverkusen produced a 4-3 win at Mainz in a match of changing momentum: Robert Andrich volleyed Mainz ahead after just five minutes before Patrik Schick doubled the lead four minutes later. Anthony Caci scored twice to bring Mainz level before half-time, and second-half goals from Jarell Quansah and Moussa Diaby put Leverkusen back in control, with Benedict Hollerbach grabbing a late third for Mainz.
Hamburg secured a 3-2 victory at Hoffenheim after Yussuf Poulsen bundled in an early opener and Fisnik Asllani replied with an equally scrappy equaliser. Bambase Conte put Hoffenheim in front with a long-range effort early in the second half, a red card for Bernardo shifted the balance, a late Hoffenheim equaliser was ruled out by the video assistant referee, Terem Moffi headed an 83rd-minute equaliser and Miro Muheim struck in stoppage time to win it for Hamburg.
Jeff Chabot and Chris Fuehrich scored to give Stuttgart a 2-0 win at Paderborn, and Livan Burcu struck late to secure a 1-0 home victory for Union Berlin over Elversberg.
Rayo Vallecano’s La Liga match against Athletic Club at Vallecas stadium was abandoned after home fans threw objects on to the pitch in a protest against the club president, Raúl Martin Presa. In the 13th minute supporters threw paper aeroplanes, rubber balls and other items, prompting the referee to pause the game and send the players to the dressing rooms; after play briefly resumed the continued throwing of objects led to the match being abandoned with the score goalless.
