Bayley sparks AEW speculation with social post amid questions over WWE future

Bayley fuelled fresh AEW speculation by posting a training video on her social media account recently as uncertainty grows over the status of her WWE contract. The post, its caption and the song used prompted renewed attention from fans and rival promotion observers.

Bayley’s long-term position with WWE is unclear; her current deal is reportedly set to expire before the end of 2026 and, according to reporting, no extension has been signed despite WWE’s interest in retaining her. The Role Model previously stated in April 2025 that she had approximately a year and a half remaining on her contract, which would place its expected expiration around the fourth quarter of 2026. There is presently no agreement between Bayley and AEW and she remains under contract with WWE.

The clip featured Bayley training alongside AJ Lee and Mercedes Moné and was captioned, “all or nothing, baby.” The soundtrack to the video was the song “All In,” which fans immediately connected to AEW’s All In and Double or Nothing events. The post was shared under Bayley’s account handle, @itsmebayley.

Fightful Select has reported that AEW has internally discussed the prospect of signing Bayley for nearly a year and is believed to have strong interest in making her an offer should she become a free agent. Those conversations, as described in the report, add an external dimension to the current contract uncertainty surrounding Bayley.

Bayley suffered a loss to Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18 at Madison Square Garden, and Valkyria attacked her after the match. That post-match assault has been cited in coverage as another event contributing to questions about Bayley’s immediate direction in WWE.

Mercedes Moné has also been part of the discussion: in June Moné shared a fan-created poster that teased a potential match against Bayley at WrestleDream 2026 and used Bayley’s former ring name, “Davina Rose.” The poster and Moné’s share of it were referenced in reporting about possible future matchups.

There remains no confirmation that Bayley is leaving WWE or that she has signed with AEW, and her contract is reportedly expected to expire in late 2026 around the fourth quarter. Her contractual status and any formal offers will determine whether the speculation develops into a transfer once that term concludes.
