On October 1, 2026, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced two alterations to India’s squads for the ongoing India v West Indies series, naming Anshul Kamboj as Prasidh Krishna’s replacement in the ODI group for the Mullanpur match and removing Washington Sundar from the T20I roster.

The ODI series has produced high totals, with West Indies posting 295 and 405 in their two innings, while their bowlers have taken only four wickets across those games and India has chased both targets without trouble. The final ODI is scheduled to be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. Prasidh Krishna, who is the second-highest wicket-taker in the series, left the field after completing five overs in the second ODI and has been ruled out with a hamstring injury; Mohammed Siraj has been available on the bench but has not featured in the first two matches.

Anshul Kamboj was formally named as Krishna’s replacement and is expected to join the Indian squad in Chandigarh ahead of the third ODI.

The BCCI has withdrawn Washington Sundar from the upcoming T20I series because the board wants him to prepare for the upcoming New Zealand tour; Sundar will participate in the Ranji Trophy, which starts on October 11, representing his state side.

Naman Dhir has been added to the T20I squad as Sundar’s replacement; Dhir is already part of India’s ODI group and has featured in both of the opening matches of the series.
