Australian umpire Ben Treloar, 44, is experiencing Indian domestic cricket for the first time on a Ranji Trophy sojourn as part of the BCCI‑Cricket Australia exchange programme, at Delhi's Palam ground and Mumbai's BKC, the Times of India reported on October 24, 2026.
He noted aeroplanes flying overhead at Palam and the red‑soil pitch at BKC.
Treloar also spoke of the warmth of the people he has met and his growing love for local cuisine, including garlic naan and vada pav.
