Bengaluru FC v SC Delhi: Confirmed lineups and kick-off details for ISL 2026-27 opener

Bengaluru FC host SC Delhi at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Saturday, October 10 in the opening match of the Indian Super League 2026-27 season, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 PM IST.

The fixture begins Pep Muñoz’s first full season as Bengaluru head coach after he took charge during the previous campaign; he will have the chance to shape the side from the start of the new season. Bengaluru's squad blends established figures — Ryan Williams, Sunil Chhetri, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Suresh Singh Wangjam and Nikhil Poojary — with recent additions Menno Koch and Borja Martinez and young prospects Kevin Singh, Soham Varshneya and Vinith Venkatesh. The Blues finished fourth last season and enter this opener with the expectation of improving on that position.

SC Delhi arrive still in the process of defining their ISL identity after a debut campaign that fell short of expectations, and the club’s encouraging Durand Cup run has been cited as a positive ahead of the new league season. Facing an experienced Bengaluru side at Kanteerava is set to be an immediate measure of how SC Delhi have progressed under Tomasz Tchórz.

Both teams go into the opening game with fully fit squads and no major injury concerns, giving Pep Muñoz and Tomasz Tchórz the option to select from their strongest available groups for the season opener.

Head-to-head between the sides stands at 14 matches played: Bengaluru FC wins 5, SC Delhi wins 4 and there have been 5 draws.

Confirmed starting lineups announced for the match are: Bengaluru FC — Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (GK); Nikhil Poojary, Menno Koch, Chinglensana Singh Konsham, Naorem Roshan Singh; Suresh Singh Wangjam, Lalremtluanga Fanai; Ryan Williams, Manuel Irionda, Ashique Kuruniyan; Borja Martinez. SC Delhi — Nora Fernandes (GK), Duvan Viáfara, Ashutosh Mehta, Manoj Md, Lamgoulen Gogou Hangshing, Lalrinliana Hnamte, Juan Pena, Mohammed Azhar, Tomba Singh, Md. Aimen, Rodriguinho.

The Bengaluru FC v SC Delhi opener will be shown live on Sony Sports Network, SonyLIV and YouTube; the entire 2026-27 ISL season will be streamed live and free on YouTube, while SonyLIV will carry all 163 matches in India with commentary available in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Bengali.
