BFI reopens Asian Games trials; Deepak Punia replaces Sumit Kundu at 70kg

The Boxing Federation of India recently reopened Asian Games selection trials and, in the new trials, Sumit Kundu lost his 70kg spot to reserve Deepak Punia.

Selections for the 90kg and women's 65kg categories remained unchanged.

The decision followed recent performances at the Commonwealth Games and was aimed at boosting the chances of securing medals.
