Bhullar shares first-round lead at Green Fuels Maritime Invitational in Visakhapatnam

Gaganjeet Bhullar shared the opening-day lead at the Green Fuels Maritime Invitational 2026 in Visakhapatnam on November 03, 2026 after carding a three-under 69 at East Point Golf Course. He was tied with Deepak Yadav, Ravi Kumar and Kanav Chauhan.
Bhullar, making his debut at East Point, said the course—with swaying palm trees and verdant hills—reminded him of Damai Golf & Country Club in Sarawak and that he immediately fell in love with it. The tournament is part of the AM Green Indian Golf Premier League Tour, and Bhullar is noted in the report as a winner of 11 Asian Tour and five IGPL titles.
Starting on the fourth, Bhullar made five successive pars before his first birdie on the ninth, parred the next five holes, then picked up three consecutive birdies from the 15th before dropping a shot on the 18th, his 15th hole, to finish with a 69.
Deepak Yadav, who had played the course twice before, recorded a bogey-free round to join the leaders. Ravi Kumar birdied the seventh, 18th, first and fourth holes, with his only blemish coming on the par-three 16th.
After an even-par front nine, Kanav Chauhan fired three birdies in a row from the 15th hole to move into the share of the lead alongside the others. All four players returned identical scores to top the leaderboard after the opening round.
“The course looked easy but was tough to play. The greens were not that receptive. No matter how much it rains, the base is firm, making it tough to hit the ball close to the flag. Another difficulty was that the ball was picking up mud,” said Bhullar.
