Bochum bans supporters from jumping in unison in part of Ruhrstadion

Bochum have banned supporters from jumping in unison in part of the Ruhrstadion during matches, the club said on 7 October 2026.

Engineers investigated the structure as part of a Ruhrstadion upgrade plan and cleared its load-carrying capacity, but their report also highlighted that synchronised jumping during matches created a "trampoline effect" in the tribune that could make some spectators feel unwell. The club said it "regret the unavoidable measures".
