Brazil's men's team arrived in Kolkata on Thursday, touching down at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 8:38 PM ahead of their international friendly against India at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on October 3. The squad is led by head coach Carlo Ancelotti and includes Vinícius Júnior, Endrick and Estêvão.

The five-time FIFA World Cup champions were met by supporters at the airport and around their hotel, with many fans carrying large Brazil flags and wearing the national colours despite restricted access at the arrival terminal. Supporters also gathered along the route as the team bus—green-and-yellow and bearing the Brazil crest—traveled through the city, contributing to an elevated sense of occasion.

After landing, the squad was escorted under tight security from the airport and reached their hotel at 9:34 PM. Security arrangements allowed the players to enter the hotel safely while supporters expressed their affection from a respectful distance. A large number of fans remained outside the hotel hoping to greet the visitors.

Members of the Brazil squad acknowledged the reception with broad smiles and several players gave a thumbs-up as they made their way into the hotel. The arrival has increased anticipation across Kolkata for the fixture. Local interest has been building steadily in the run-up to October 3.

The match is part of the FIFA Men’s International friendly series, with style bazar Powered by Amul named principal partner. Bharat Taxi has been announced as the official mobility partner and will leverage the fan interest around the visit. The two brands said they believe in the growth of football in India and intend to build upon their recent association with Spain and Argentina during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

India will face Brazil on October 3, 2026, at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. Supporters across the city are now awaiting the kickoff of the high-profile friendly.
