Bulkhead Studios said WARDOGS has sold 3 million copies in just over two weeks of early access, and the developer marked the milestone while warning sustained popularity will require further changes and new content.

WARDOGS is a new first-person tactical shooter from Bulkhead Studios currently in early access that has drawn players seeking a large-scale military experience. The game stages 100-player battles in which three private military companies (PMCs) compete to control the battlefield. Rather than fixed character classes, WARDOGS allows players to create fighting roles through in-game actions, with Recon benefiting from higher levels and Aircraft benefiting from Aircraft specialization.

Progression in WARDOGS ties playtime to access: the longer players play, the more powerful weapons, vehicles and equipment become available. Money earned during matches carries over between games and can be spent to purchase stronger kit over time.

Bulkhead acknowledged the title’s strong launch and current popularity, celebrated the three million sales milestone with fans and thanked them for launch support. The studio said the team is proud and described its outlook as optimistic yet realistic, adding that the surge in interest will not last unless specific changes and additional content are delivered.

The developer has started preparing WARDOGS’ first major season update for early access but has not published a full roadmap or disclosed further details. An early tease from the team suggests dynamic rainy weather may play a significant role in the upcoming season, with additional information promised closer to the update.

Bulkhead Studios has confirmed that WARDOGS Season 2 will launch on October 15, 2026.
