BWF keeps India Open in February; schedule changes unlikely before early 2027

The Badminton World Federation has confirmed that significant changes to the India Open schedule are unlikely before early 2027 and that the tournament will be staged in Delhi in February next year.

The BWF cited calendar limitations as the primary constraint on altering the event’s timing.

Trials of synthetic shuttlecocks are ongoing but have no definitive rollout date, and the federation is focusing on increasing prize money for the World Championships.
