Calicut FC sign Girik Khosla ahead of 2026-27 Super League Kerala season

Khel Now understands that Super League Kerala side Calicut FC have signed Indian attacker Girik Khosla on August 22, 2026, ahead of the 2026-27 season. The club says the acquisition is aimed at strengthening the squad as they prepare for the new campaign.
Calicut FC were the inaugural Super League Kerala champions in 2024 and won the 2024 SLK title. After Kannur Warriors FC claimed the championship last season, Calicut have begun assembling reinforcements as they target a return to the top in the competition's third season. The club described the signings as part of a plan to build a competitive squad for 2026-27.
Khosla is a 31-year-old attacker who has appeared in 106 career matches, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists. The player is capable of operating in multiple attacking positions, including as a forward and an attacking midfielder, and can play from both flanks. Calicut expect his experience to add another option in forward areas and on the wings.
His career pathway includes time in the Mumbai youth setup before moving on to play for NorthEast United FC. Khosla won the I-League with Punjab in the 2017-18 season, a campaign that earned him a transfer to NorthEast United FC in the ISL. He has also had spells with East Bengal, Sreenidi Deccan FC, Real Kashmir FC, Delhi FC and Diamond Harbour FC.
Khosla joined Diamond Harbour FC in 2024 and won the IFL last season under Kibu Vicuna. The club announcement cited his wealth of Indian football experience and suggested he would be given an extended role at Calicut. The signing follows Calicut's stated objective of adding experienced players to the squad.
Calicut FC have also confirmed the signing of Gani Nigam, who will feature for the southern side in the third season of the Super League Kerala. The club expect Nigam to operate in advanced positions alongside Khosla and to contribute additional productivity in the attacking third.
Girik Khosla arrives at Calicut FC ahead of the 2026-27 Super League Kerala season as the club aims to reclaim the title and secure a second championship in the competition's third edition.
