Carino and New Star stand out in Pune morning gallops

Carino and New Star showed out when horses were exercised in Pune on Friday, Aug. 14, in the morning. The session produced timed gallops and margins at distances ranging from 600m to 1,400m.

The morning work included multiple solo and paired drills with recorded splits at 600m, 800m, 1,000m and 1,400m, and gate practice on the inner sand was noted. Trainers and riders completed a mix of short sharp gallops and longer maintenance moves across the track.

At 600m, Mila (Omkar) and Rules (app) were credited with 41 and finished pair level; G Valentino (Kamble) was given 42 with the note Easy; Precioso (app) recorded 40 and was also marked Easy.

Mandarain Milli (rb) covered 800m in 53 with a 600m split of 40 and was described as Moved freely. Over 1,000m, New Star (Peter) and Golden Gun (S.J. Sunil) were listed 1-8 with 800/52 and 600/39; Former made up two lengths on the outside and easily finished level. Phantasmique (rb) ran 1-10 for 1,000m with 800/55 and 600/41 and was noted Worked well.

Rise All Stars (Siddharth) completed 1,400m in 1-40 with 800/57 and 600/43 and was reported as Worked freely. Gate practice was recorded on the inner sand during the session.

In the second set of 1,000m gallops, Sobers (Bhawani) and Midas Touch (Bharat) were 1-9 with 800/53 and 600/40; Former was one length superior. Carino (N. Bhosale) posted 1-6 with 800/52 and 600/39 and was described as Moved impressively. Opus Dei (Shelar) was 1-9, 800/54, 600/40 and noted Moved well; Shimmer (Santosh) and Mount Washington (Ramswarup) were 1-12 with 600/44 and the Former finished well clear.

Katame (rb) and Flash Mob (Umesh) recorded 1-7 with 800/52 and 600/39, with the Former finished six lengths ahead. Zoe (Kirtish) and Myrina (Ajinkya) were 1-14 with 800/57 and 600/43 and finished pair level.
