Celtic to host Celta de Vigo at Celtic Park in Europa League on October 22

Celtic FC will host Celta de Vigo at Celtic Park on October 22 in their third league-phase match of the UEFA Europa League 2026-27.

Both clubs arrive having lost their opening two Europa League fixtures this season; Celtic have been inconsistent in recent performances and will seek a response on home turf, while Celta de Vigo — coached by Claudio Giráldez — suffered defeats to Omonia Nicosia and Juventus and face pressure to improve their output in the final third.

Camilo Duran, 24, has scored in each of his last two appearances for Celtic, netting the sole goal in a 1-4 loss to Benfica and contributing among the scorers in Celtic’s 7-1 victory over Heart of Midlothian.

For Celta, Ferrán Jutglà opened the scoring in their 2-1 LaLiga win against Alaves and will be relied upon to provide attacking impetus in Europe as the side seeks its first points in the group.

Celtic will be without Alistair Johnston, Yang Hyun-Jun and Cameron Carter-Vickers through injury; Celta de Vigo will be missing Pablo Duran, Carl Starfelt, Jones El Abdellaoui, Miguel Roman and Borja Iglesias because of injuries.

The expected starting lists published are: Sinisalo (GK); Donovan, Murray, Scales, Tierney; McGregor, Baur; Hassan, Nygren, Osmand; Duran — and Radu (GK); Rodriguez, Lago, Caceres; Carreira, Burcio, Moriba, Alvarez; Driouech, Jutgla, Swedberg. The preview predicts a 1-1 draw and notes Indian broadcast availability on Sony Sports Network and SonyLIV.
