Champions League live: Aston Villa v Viking, Real Madrid v RB Leipzig among fixtures

The Guardian's live coverage of Champions League matches on 21 October 2026 from 8pm BST featured Aston Villa v Viking, Real Madrid v RB Leipzig and other fixtures.

The report said the German giants were without Joshua Kimmich as he had suffered a family bereavement, and that Michael Olise would not feature because he was suspended following a red card against Viking.

Bayern Munich's listed players included Neuer, Upamecano, Minjae, Gnabry, Bischof, Kane, Davies, Laimer, Saibari, Stanisic and Pavlovic.
