Charlotte Flair returns at SmackDown taping in Brooklyn, attacks Jade Cargill

Charlotte Flair made a surprise return during the November 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which was taped at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 2, and attacked Jade Cargill. The incident unfolded during the Michin & B-Fab versus Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid Women’s Tag Team Championship bout.
WWE recorded the November 6 SmackDown immediately after the latest edition of Monday Night Raw as part of an effort to complete television commitments before travelling to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. Flair had not been seen since she was attacked by Jade Cargill and her friends a week earlier. Alexa Bliss had served as Flair’s replacement on the October 9 show, stepping in alongside Tatum Paxley.
Flair’s return came in the midst of the women’s tag title match when she went after Jade Cargill, prompting interference from Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss. That interference resulted in a disqualification during the championship contest. Bayley also became involved in the brawl following Flair’s appearance, further escalating the confrontation.
On the October 9 episode, Bliss paired with Tatum Paxley and the duo defeated Fatal Influence to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. That title reign lasted until the October 23 edition of SmackDown, when Bliss and Paxley lost the belts to Michin and B-Fab, ending their run at 14 days.
Khel Now noted that by attacking Cargill, Flair’s issues with The Storm appear unresolved and that her return could draw the women’s tag team championship picture deeper into the ongoing rivalry. The report suggested one possible lineup for a women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series could pair Flair, Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley against Jade Cargill, Michin, B-Fab and the Baddies.
The promotion has not officially announced any team lineups for a WarGames match at Survivor Series, and WWE has made no formal confirmation of those proposed pairings. The developments from the November 2 SmackDown taping will be reflected in the run-up to the next major event as the company finalizes plans.
