Chaubey: 14,000 discounted tickets reserved for local club members for India-Brazil friendly

All India Football Federation president Kalyan Chaubey announced on September 17, 2026 in Kolkata that 14,000 tickets would be set aside at a discounted rate for local club members and fans for the India-Brazil friendly at Salt Lake Stadium on October 3. He made the announcement while addressing reporters.
Chaubey said he had discussions with representatives of Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting, and the Indian Football Association (IFA) to find a way to accommodate the clubs’ members. “A total of 14,000 tickets on the stands behind the two goalposts are available for the clubs and a discount will be offered on these tickets. Tickets in this category are reserved for individuals associated with football; they must obtain their tickets through the IFA,” said Chaubey.
Chaubey could not provide details about India’s scheduled match against Uruguay on October 6.
India will also host Panama in Bengaluru on September 25. He said Sony would be the telecast and digital partner for these matches.
He said these matches would help India. “Don’t think India has ever played against such higher-ranked teams in the last 40 years. Have to look at the country’s long-term benefit,” Chaubey said.
India’s upcoming fixtures confirmed in the announcement are the Panama game in Bengaluru on September 25 and the Brazil friendly at Salt Lake Stadium on October 3, while details for the October 6 fixture with Uruguay remain undisclosed.
