China Open 2026: Prize money, points and key details for Beijing event

The China Open 2026 will be held in Beijing beginning on September 30, 2026, serving as the first major tournament of the Asian swing and staging both ATP and WTA draws.

Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka are among the players set to feature at the event.

On the ATP Tour the event carries 500 status while on the WTA it is a 1000 tournament.

The China Open is among the most lucrative events on both tours. The WTA prize fund is more than double the ATP's, for obvious reasons given the difference in category.

The WTA singles champion will receive $1,151,380 (around ₹10.2 crore). That cheque is an increase from the $1,124,380 awarded to Amanda Anisimova in 2025. Total prize money commitment for the WTA at the China Open 2026 is $9,415,725 (around ₹83.4 crore).

On the ATP side the singles winner will earn $764,750. The total prize money commitment for the ATP is $4,089,385 (approximately ₹36.2 crore). Across both tours the combined purse therefore exceeds $13.5 million (around ₹119.6 crore).

Both the defending champions, Jannik Sinner and Amanda Anisimova, have withdrawn from the competition due to lingering injury concerns.
