Chirag Baretha and teammates file petition in Delhi HC over Asian Para Games non-selection

Chirag Baretha and fellow para-shuttlers have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court challenging their exclusion from India’s 2026 Asian Para Games contingent, the Times of India reported on October 16, 2026.

The players say they met the selection criteria and allege unfair treatment and procedural irregularities, challenging the roles of the Sports Authority of India and the Badminton Association of India and raising questions about transparency in the selection process.
