The undisputed heavyweight champion Claressa Shields will return to the middleweight division to challenge Kaye Scott for the WBC and WBA middleweight titles at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Shields enters the fight as a heavy favourite.

Shields comes into the bout with a professional record of 18-0, 3 KOs, making her first appearance at 160 pounds since 2023 and set to make her professional debut in Atlanta. Scott holds a record of 5-1-1 and captured the vacant WBC and WBA middleweight titles by majority decision over Olivia Curry last December.

Scott will be fighting on home turf, away from her native Australia, in what the source describes as the biggest night of her career. The match is scheduled for a ten-round contest following the standard two-minute round format used in women’s professional boxing.

Broadcast coverage is split between two carriers: the Zeus Network undercard begins at 4 p.m. ET, with the DAZN championship card scheduled to start around 8:30 p.m. ET. The Shields-Scott ring walk is expected around 10 p.m. ET once the earlier bouts on the DAZN card have concluded, and the event will air live on DAZN internationally.

State Farm Arena will stage its first-ever women’s headliner for the event, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has confirmed he will be in attendance for the boxing card. Organizers have noted that the fight card, bout order, and broadcast assignments remain subject to change closer to fight night.

The Shields vs Scott fight is not being contested for undisputed status at middleweight, as Shields will appear as the challenger rather than the reigning undisputed champion at the weight. The pairing remains a title fight for the WBC and WBA middleweight belts under the standard ten two-minute round structure.

The title fight is confirmed for Saturday, August 15, 2026, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta and will be available to international viewers on DAZN.
