CM Punk and Kevin Owens will meet in a No Holds Barred match on the November 6 episode of WWE SmackDown, which will be taped at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and serve as the blue brand’s go-home show for Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The October 30 edition of Friday Night SmackDown ended at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, with both World titles defended that night; Sami Zayn, Chelsea Green and Rey Fenix retained their respective championships. WWE has scheduled the November 6 SmackDown to be recorded on Monday, November 2, at the Barclays Center, the same venue hosting that night’s episode of RAW, with SmackDown to be broadcast later in the week to allow talent and crew time to travel to Saudi Arabia. General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed the high-profile match between Punk and Owens during a sit-down segment featuring both superstars and Aldis.

A rivalry between Punk and Owens has developed over several months, with both veterans blaming the other for setbacks in their runs at the Undisputed WWE Championship. The source traces a turning point to an incident in Mexico City when Owens inadvertently cost Punk the Undisputed title during Punk’s defence against Sami Zayn, and Punk later returned the favour by costing Owens a championship opportunity.

Both men also crossed paths inside the Money in the Bank ladder match, where the report says Owens prevented Punk from retrieving the briefcase. On the October 30 episode, the No Holds Barred stipulation was added to their upcoming SmackDown bout, removing standard singles-match restrictions and allowing weapons and more extreme tactics.

Rumours circulated about Owens’ reported reluctance to travel to Riyadh for Crown Jewel; former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman claimed that Owens was among the names unhappy with the Saudi Arabia trip. The report adds that neither Owens nor the authorities have confirmed that the November 6 booking was made because of his reported concerns.

WWE has listed additional featured superstars for the November 6 show, naming Roman Reigns, Liv Morgan, John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Oba Femi among those advertised for the night. As of the report, CM Punk vs Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match is the only officially announced match for the Crown Jewel go-home episode.

The SmackDown episode will be taped on Monday, November 2, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and then air on November 6 as the final SmackDown before Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh.
